Distiller's Blog - Locally Grown

Happy December all!

Here at Whistling Andy, we pride ourselves in using Montana grown grain and personally knowing the farmers who grow it. We are proud to say, as of this past November, we have now used over 50,000 pounds of 100% Montana grain sourced within 50 miles of the distillery in our spirits in 2016. Typically, we use 1000 pounds of grain in each of our mashes, meaning we personally haul lots of grains into the distillery on a weekly basis. We are looking to double that number come 2017, with the number of states requesting Whistling Andy Spirits ever increasing. We’re always happy to give back to the Montana agriculture industry and will continue to help that industry grow for years to come.
